(:)

x(:) serializes a vector or matrix into a single vector.

Syntax

a = x(:)

Notes

• This converts a matrix-shaped value into a vector by serializing its contents.
• If x is already a vector, x(:) has no effect.

Example

AUX> x=(1:6).matrix(2)
ans =
1 2 3
4 5 6

AUX> x(:)
ans = 1 2 3 4 5 6
