Data Types in AUX
The following data types are described in the current help material:
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
NUL | null or empty data |
SCAL | scalar |
TEXT | text string |
VCT | vector or array |
AUD | audio |
CEL | cell array |
CLAS | class or structure |
TSEQ | time sequence |
HAUD | handle to audio playback |
HGO | handle to graphic object |
Notes
- Values can be either real or complex.
- A matrix is treated as a grouped
VCTaccording to rows. AUDdiffers fromVCTbecause it carries sample-rate information and time-marker information.- A single
AUDobject can contain multiple chunks of audio at different times. - Some functions behave differently for
AUDthan forVCT. One example noted in older help issqrt, where audio-oriented behavior may be treated differently from ordinary vector computation.
