@@= is the compound assignment form of the relative level operator.

Syntax

x @@= y

Equivalent Expression

x = x @ x @ y

Operands

Notes

• x @ x @ y means the signal x with its level adjusted by y dB relative to its own RMS level.
• This is an incremental level operator rather than an absolute one.
• Positive values increase level; negative values decrease it.

Example

Open a .wav file. In the original help example, its RMS level happens to be -26 dB.

AUX> x=wave("spring")

Increase its RMS level by 15 dB:

AUX> x @@= 15

If that causes clipping, reduce it again:

AUX> x @@= -5
